Situated 3 miles northeast of downtown Deer Park, the Deer Park Municipal Airport/Penni Loomis Field has been transforming its mission since being established as a World War 2 airfield in 1944. During the 1950’s, the airstrip became more popular for drag racing than for plane landings. Today, it has grown into a thriving, self-sustaining municipal asset serving a large variety of clients, missions, and aircrafts. Its future is more growth.

Rotary Student of the Month: December

Hannah Carnahan is the December Student of the Month from Deer Park High School. Hannah, a member of the Associated Student Body and Link Crew loves “being part of a great social atmosphere.” Playing soccer since the age of 5,she now plays for the school team. She said that since COVID, ASB is having trouble putting plans together but she is now part of the team forming Spirit Week. Hannah wants to go into nursing first and then has aspirations of becoming a Physician’s Assistant. She will be starting at North Idaho College.
