James Collin Hicks

James Collin Hicks, 71, of Marion, KY, formerly of Deer Park, TX passed away August 31, 2024 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY. He was a member of Marion Baptist Church, Veteran of the United States Air Force, graduate of the University of Texas, former director of the Pasadena Livestock and Rodeo Association and former winner of the Texas Safety Manager Of The Year. Survivors include his brother; Roy Tony Hicks of Oceanside, CA and sister, Tracey Sue (John) Choate, of Eddyville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Louis Hicks.

Wendy Michelle Lauderdale, 68, a cherished resident of Loon Lake and Deer Park for many years, passed away peacefully at her home in Deer Park on July 22, 2024. 

Wendy is survived by her father, three brothers and two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and her long time friend, Hap. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tony Lee Whicker, her sister, Leah(Lauderdale) Aiono and her mother, Nancy.

Keith dedicated his life to the service of others. He graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane before attending Eastern Washington State College, which became Eastern Washington University. He began his teaching career in Kennewick, WA before moving to Deer Park. Keith taught at Arcadia Elementary before moving to Deer Park High School for many years of service.

Elizabeth Ann Fenn, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 86. Born on October 20, 1937 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Franklin Lester and Mary Irene Moody, their only child.  They relocated to Long Beach, California during her high school years. Elizabeth Ann graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach in 1955 and married Samuel Joseph Fenn December 17, 1955.
