Albert Warren Stevens 1937 – 2026

Albert Warren Stevens

Albert “Al” Stevens was born to Warren and Luella Stevens on December 4, 1937. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1955, attended EWU for two years, and served in the Army National Guard. Like his late brother Donald, he worked for the Department of Natural Resources as a firefighter but spent most of his career in sales. By the time he retired, he was Director of Sales for Gulf Pacific Management Consultants, specializing in management consulting services. In 1983, he moved to the Bay Area of California. An outdoorsman at heart, Al loved hunting and fishing, playing cards and was a skilled pinochle player. He passed away peacefully at his home in Oroville, CA on February 19, 2026.  

Al was previously married to Alice Howe and together they had seven children. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jackie Stevens, who had three children. Survivors include his wife Jackie of Oroville, CA, children Patricia Edgar of Spokane, WA, Paul (Desaree) of Las Vegas, NV, Phillip (Melissa) of Nine Mile Falls, WA, Lisa Stevens of Spokane, WA, Arlene Vega of St. Maries, ID, Eric Stevens of Spokane, WA, Keri Stevens of Oroville, CA and his sister Darla Howe of Ostero, FL. He was proceeded in death by his daughters Jeanette and Pamela and son Perry.  

Al was known for his intelligence and his sense of humor. He took great pride in his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He will be missed.

US 395 Lanes Reopened After Collision Near Monroe Road

A traffic collision at the intersection of North US Highway 395 and West Monroe Road temporarily blocked northbound traffic. Emergency crews, including multiple fire units and ambulances, responded to the scene to treat individuals and manage traffic flow. All lanes have since been cleared and reopened to regular traffic.

Roberta was the oldest of eight siblings, a role she carried with strength, care, and a deep sense of responsibility throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and for giving so freely to her friends and family.
