The Rotary Club of Deer Park recently honored students from Deer Park, Riverside and Mary Walker High Schools as the October Students of the Month. The students are Trinity Howder, Thomas Baldwin, and Hannah Hodgson.

Roundabouts are a favorite Deer Park hot topic. Whether you think they’re brilliant or asinine, there will be another one soon within the Deer Park city limits.

On October 24th, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and Eastern Washington Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers announced that new grant money was to be invested into the Deer Park community. The $4.7 million grant from the Washington Department of Commerce’s Economic Division is intended to develop and improve the Deer Park Business and Industrial Park.

The Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association is actively working behind the scenes to begin preparation for the 2020 program, to be held at Deer Park High School on Saturday, March 14th, at 6pm.

In mid-October of 2019, Deputy Dutton met with Superintendent Travis Hanson and current Deer Park Elementary PTO Officers. They reported they suspected, 32-year-old Teesha M. Lutrick, fraudulently used her position as PTO Treasurer to steal over $25,000 of PTO funds over the last three years.
