Miss Deer Park Gearing Up

The Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association is actively working behind the scenes in preparation for the 2020 program, which will be held at Deer Park High School March 14th. Single Car Crash on Highway 292

Emergency responders in Stevens County responded to a serious crash, March 5th, on Highway 292. According to the Stevens County Fire District No.1 Facebook page, “A suspected medical event caused the driver to crash directly into a guardrail at highway speed. Approximately 6-8 feet of the guardrail ended up in the passenger compartment, trapping the lone victim”.

Possible Coronavirus in Colville

The Colville School District announced on March 2nd, that the schools will be closed until a student under investigation for COVID-19 (the Coronavirus) is confirmed with either positive or negative test results. These test results could take up to 3 days, during which time the school district will be disinfecting the buildings.
