Emergency responders in Stevens County responded to a serious crash, March 5th, on Highway 292. According to the Stevens County Fire District No.1 Facebook page, “A suspected medical event caused the driver to crash directly into a guardrail at highway speed. Approximately 6-8 feet of the guardrail ended up in the passenger compartment, trapping the lone victim”.

The Colville School District announced on March 2nd, that the schools will be closed until a student under investigation for COVID-19 (the Coronavirus) is confirmed with either positive or negative test results. These test results could take up to 3 days, during which time the school district will be disinfecting the buildings.

I fell in love with the cacti I saw during my recent visit to the Milwaukee Dome Gardens. (A must see for plant enthusiasts!) Cacti are very recognizable plants with waxy skin and prickly spines.
