The City of Deer Park recently held a “Project Open House” concerning the new roundabout that will be placed on Crawford, where Colville intersects.
The open house was initiated to discuss aspects of the construction. Plans, as pictured above, not only involve the impending traffic circle, but also include changes to North Colville Road. Developments such as: crosswalks, sidewalks, street lights, as well as some underground utility work are planned to stretch from Crawford to 3rd Street.
Deer Park’s city council has expanded from five to seven members in response to the city’s population growth, reaching 5,000 residents. Ross Hall, a former teacher and coach, and Chase Vining, a local business owner, were appointed to serve through 2025.
The GreenHouse Food Bank and Resource Center will temporarily close next week to relocate to a new facility in Deer Park. The organization is seeking community support for the costs associated with the move.
