Spokane County Libraries announced they are increasing the number of hours and days they are open to the public. Starting on Sunday, October 3rd, the Deer Park library will be open on Sundays from 1-5pm. They will also be expanding their hours on Monday through Wednesday by two hours (making their hours 10-8 Monday-Wednesday)

School Districts throughout Washington have been implementing and responding to legislative mandates. The Deer Park School Board has invited local lawmakers and provided a time for public questions and discussion.
Deer Park City Council candidacy requires contenders to live within the city for more than one year before the election. Billy Costello moved to Deer Park in May of 2021, he has owned a business in the community since 2018.
Julia Lockwood has resigned as principal of the Deer Park Elementary school. The superintendent made the announcement via email on Monday, September 20th. The email did not specify a reason for the resignation.
The US Post Office located in Deer Park has added a number of services. As a result of the extra services and increased local population the rates for post office boxes has increased.
