Libraries Expanding Services In October

Spokane County Libraries announced they are increasing the number of hours and days they are open to the public. Starting on Sunday, October 3rd, the Deer Park library will be open on Sundays from 1-5pm. They will also be expanding their hours on Monday through Wednesday by two hours (making their hours 10-8 Monday-Wednesday)

In addition, starting on Monday, October 4th, the library’s online room reservation system can be used to reserve conference and meeting rooms. Meeting and conference rooms are only available for public use during open library hours. Curbside pickup continues to be available at all libraries during open hours. Learn more at: Scld.org/curbside

US-395 Reopened Following Motorcycle & Pickup Collision

Traffic is moving again on US-395, but the investigation into today’s serious motorcycle crash is far from over.

As of 5pm today, all lanes of US-395 have been reopened to traffic. Earlier today, a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a white pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 395 and H Street, which is near Henery Hardware, forced a complete closure of the highway, resulting in significant gridlock through the heart of Deer Park.

Deer Park Library Reopens With Limited Services

The Deer Park Library has reopened this week following a lengthy closure, but with limited services as repairs continue on its HVAC system. With outdoor temperatures still in the 90s, library staff will monitor conditions closely and may close early if indoor heat becomes unsafe.
