The Greater Deer Park Area Chamber of Commerce will spread holiday cheer with its annual Celebrate Hometown Christmas event on December 14th, starting at 3pm at Deer Park City Hall. Attendees can look forward to a wide range of free activities, such as a S’ mores bar, sugar cookie decorating, and photos with the Grinch and Santa Claus. They can also enjoy a Christmas movie and carolers.

This community favorite also features the Christmas Light Parade and competition, which begins at 5pm, with the lineup starting at 4:45pm at the First Baptist Church, 1205 E Crawford St.

Registration is open for those wanting to participate in the Christmas Light Parade with a $10 entry fee. Sign up for the parade here: DPGazette.com/pb4ei. All proceeds will be awarded to the group or individual with the best light display, chosen by audience vote. This competition adds an extra sparkle of creativity as participants light up their entries to celebrate the season.
