Summer Children Meals Program Update 7/26/2021

The Summer Meal Program, also known as the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), was created to help ensure children have nutritious meals when school is out of session. The Summer Meals Program provides free meals and snacks to people ages 1-18. The SFSP is a federally-funded, state-administered program. Different organizations like Deer Park, Riverside, and Mary Walker School Districts, and Spokane County Library District sponsor meals in our area. ECEAP Slots In Deer Park

The Deer Park Early Learning Center program has 14 additional ECEAP full day slots. Currently, the program has 2 full day and 2 half day classrooms. The increase will allow them to offer 2 more half day classes.

Education Levy Renewal 2021

Remaining Vigilant in 2021

In a New Years’ message from Deer Park School Superintendent Travis Hanson, he expressed thanks and appreciation for the hard teamwork by parents/guardians, students, and staff in maintaining COVID guidelines. He also noted Deer Park is in the 15% of WA state schools who currently have access to in-person learning.
