House Fire & Fatality 400 East A Street

House fire & fatality at a Deer Park home across from City Hall. Avoid Stevens & A Street, as the fire response is still in progress.

A tragic event occurred in the early hours of this morning as a house fire was reported at 3:40am. Unfortunately, one person was trapped inside the home and later reported deceased. The cause of the fire and death is currently under investigation.

The fire department is located less than 600 feet from the home, allowing for a quick response to the emergency. Response vehicles are currently blocking Stevens and A street as they continue their response, cleanup, and investigation of the fire. The city hall parking lot is also being utilized by the response units.

The home, which appeared like a mobile home, was actually built in 1913. The age of the home and its unique construction may have contributed to the severity of the fire and the outcome of the situation.
