Honored Settlers: Losh Family

The Losh family has been here since the beginning in 1921, when Lloyd and Eva hosted the very first Settlers Picnic on their family farm in Wild Rose Prairie. After that, their family continued to grow, and some moved away to other states while some, like Beverly Losh, Sharon Bower, and Mark Losh, are still in the area to help celebrate this year.

Grand Marshal: Peggy Coyle (Christoffersen)

Peggy Coyle first moved to Deer Park in 1975; she was entering the 5th grade. She graduated from Deer Park High School (DPHS) in 1983 and moved around until 1991 when she moved back with her two children. Coyle took over the family business, 7C’s Construction, Inc, that year. As well as volunteering with the Jr Miss/Miss Deer Park Program and continued to do that for 14 years before passing on the Chairman position. She worked for and achieved her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington State (EWU), which she felt enhanced her community’s ability to aid her community further.  Coyle has since volunteered with Deer Park Chamber of Commerce, Pumpkin Lane, Rotary Club, the Deer Park Schools, the Settlers Parade, and other organizations. She believes every individual is important and encourages people to get out and know their neighbors so their life will be better.

Community Service Traveling Trophy: Inland Feed and Farm Supply

Inland Feed and Farm Supply is very active in helping the farming community.  They host the Animal Swap in their parking lot and do a table set up for Pumpkin Lane. In addition, they work with Future Farmers of America (FFA), Head, Heart, Hands, and Health (4H), as well as the Clayton Fair, to name a few organizations they help in the community.
