Recently appointed David Campanella is now serving as the director of Deer Park Ambulance. David is leading the organization through a reorganization with an emphasis on community and transparency following the termination of the contract by Spokane County Fire District #4 (SCFD#4).

Keiran Brown and Linda Schoening are launching Deer Park’s Princess Project. This not-for-profit task is to gather donated formal dresses and give them away to girls who otherwise might not be able to afford a dazzling dress to wear to prom. Their goal is to collect at least 75 dresses by March 15th.

At Right At School our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind. Right At School has partnered with several schools in the Nine Mile, Deer Park and Riverside school districts to provide extended-day programs where students can have fun and bolster their learning while interacting with a deep, enriching curriculum.

Deer Park is now home to a new Marriage and Family Counseling office. 49 Degrees Counseling has set up an office in the building on 110 W Crawford Street. Jay Mitchell is a recent graduate from Whitworth University with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFTA).

Leslie & Dan Stansbury have been successful pet-related business owners in the Deer Park community for over 30 years and serving as community leaders. In January, they handed over their businesses to Isaiah and Danielle Prosser.

Boy Scouts from Troop 203 attended the city council meeting. The budget for the splash pad has started the approval process. The city is working toward building and technology improvements. Citizen comments ranged from law enforcement to chickens
