Care-a-Van Mobile Health Services will be at the Rural Resources Community Action Community Health Event in Deer Park, offering a range of vaccinations. The event aims to provide accessible healthcare services to the community and promote public health and well-being.
Participants can access vital healthcare services conveniently at the upcoming Community Health Event. The Community Health Event will feature a variety of vendors, including DAC New Enabled Healthcare, Fred Hutch/University of Washington, Molina Healthcare, CHPW, Spokane Community College, Better Health Together, and many others offering services such as Victim Services, Coordinated Care, and Employment and Training.
The event will be held at the recently opened Rural Resource Center, 110 W Crawford Street, on May 7th from 10am to 2pm.
One of the featured vendors is Care-a-Van, a mobile health service provider that is part of the Washington State Department of Health’s efforts to increase vaccination rates and combat the spread of infectious diseases.
The Care-a-Van will focus on offering COVID-19 vaccinations, including the newly available Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for individuals aged 6 months and older. Additionally, flu vaccines for the 2023-2024 season will be available for all ages, subject to availability. The Mpox vaccine will be provided for individuals aged 18 years and above while supplies last, along with childhood vaccines for ages 6 months through 18 years.

Care-a-Van services are offered at no cost to the hosting organization. However, individuals with health insurance indicating that Care-a-Van services are out-of-network may be billed for flu or COVID-19 vaccinations.
