Free Community Health Fair Coming In September

Last year’s Community Health Fair in September featured the DSHS Mobile Office, providing essential services to Deer Park residents.

Local organizations are partnering to bring a free community health fair to Deer Park next month. The event aims to provide residents with easy access to essential health screenings and resources, all in one convenient location.

The community is invited to attend a free Health Fair, which is an excellent opportunity to explore services and resources, learn about wellness and prevention, and connect with various health organizations. Several vendors will be present, including the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), WorkSource, Washington State Department of Revenue, Rural Resources Community Action, the Disability Action Center (DAC), and Avista.

One of the featured vendors is Care-a-Van, a mobile health service provider that is part of the Washington State Department of Health’s efforts, which offers several free health screenings, including:

  • Blood pressure and vision screenings (for ages three and up)
  • Blood glucose screenings
  • A1C testing
  • BMI

The fair will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, from 11am to 2:30pm. You can visit Greenhouse Food Bank, located at 125 North Park Street, to check it out.

The event is designed to provide free resources and information to help you on your health journey. Whether you are seeking specific solutions to your health needs or are simply curious about what is available, this is an excellent opportunity to connect with local resources.

For more information, or if you are interested in being a vendor, please contact Lisa Hoover at [email protected] or by phone at 509-685-6009.
