Dr. Alexa Allman Selected As Deer Park’s New Superintendent

Dr. Alexa Allman has been unanimously chosen by the Deer Park School District’s Board of Directors as the next superintendent. She will replace the outgoing Travis Hanson, who is moving to the Mead School District.

The Deer Park School District’s Board of Directors announced on Monday, April 10, 2023, that they had selected Dr. Alexa Allman as the district’s next superintendent during their regular board meeting. Currently serving as Assistant Superintendent in Deer Park, Dr. Allman will take over her new role on July 1, 2023, replacing Travis Hanson, who has accepted a similar position in the Mead School District.

Dr. Allman has a long history in education, having worked as a district-level HR specialist for six years and as a building administrator at both elementary and middle school levels for 13 years in the Bellevue School District. Board President Eric Keller praised Dr. Allman for her dedication and commitment to the Deer Park community, describing her as a strong communicator and competent administrator. Board member Lindsay Lofstrom also emphasized her active engagement with the community and the positive feedback she received from Dr. Allman’s references.
