Dr. Alexa Allman has been unanimously chosen by the Deer Park School District’s Board of Directors as the next superintendent. She will replace the outgoing Travis Hanson, who is moving to the Mead School District.

After almost exactly two years, children will be able to attend school in person with optional mask wearing starting March 14th. The Governor, in 2020, had originally announced the closure of all public schools on March 13th.
The WinterFest committee recently announced venue changes for this year’s event. Indoor activities will now take place in the Deer Park Fire Station meeting rooms, and Perrins Field is now the location for some outdoor ones instead of the Deer Park High school.
