Did you miss Senator Shelly Short as the guest speaker via Zoom at the September 27th Deer Park School Board meeting? She spoke on legislative mandates coming down from Olympia that affect how schools are operated.
Community members were able to listen in and get their questions answered by Short herself. In addition Short shared how things are going and what people should do if they wish to see a change in the current mandates.
This Deer Park School Board meeting was the first of two featuring guest speakers who are lawmakers for the district. The next session will be with Representative Jacquelin Maycumber on October 11th.
