Deer Park Yard Sale Still On

Plans for the Deer Park Yard Sale (DPYS) have not changed, and it will continue to be held August 7th-9th. Participants and individuals are encouraged to practice proper hygiene and physical distancing recommendations. Local businesses are invited to hold a sidewalk sale similar to last year.

Each year since 2009, Deer Park Yard Sale has organized local yard and garage sales into one big event! Individuals have used this time of year as a way to clean out their unused household goods by hosting a sale, or to enjoy a day of bargain hunting and treasure seeking. Shoppers have come from all over Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and even Canada!

Whether you are a host or a shopper, a few helpful tips can be found on the DPYS site to make the weekend successful.

Hosts:

Advertise your sale! Deer Park Yard Sale will be advertising the sales of the event, but it doesn’t hurt to spread the word about it. Tell your friends and neighbors, and encourage them to take part. Create signs that are large and clear to help direct visitors to your sale. For more tips, visit:

Shoppers:

Be sure to make a list of what you need and map out your route! Remember to have refreshments on hand as you may be out for a while and need to stay fed and hydrated. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or negotiate. For more tips, visit:

A map of sales will be included on the Deer Park Yard Sale website, along with additional information for each location. If you are a business owner that is interested in holding a sidewalk sale, your location can also be included on the map. Registering and adding your sale is free!
