Governor Closes Schools Statewide

Inslee

Taking drastic measures, Governor Jay Inslee announced that he will be signing an executive order to close all K-12 schools both public and private from March 17th to April 24. During his statements on March 13th, he stated the importance of school employees providing critical services during the closure of schools. The Superintendent of Public Instruction also made statements that they will be working with all of the school districts to figure out how to provide meals for the kids that depend on it, along with other critical services. As of this writing, the Deer Park School District has not released a statement. An all-call from the Deer Park School District is expected shortly.
