July’s Drive-Thru Free Food Distribution

During the first event in June 2021, Faith Lutheran Church in partnership with 2nd Harvest was able to serve 320 families with 17,000 pounds of food. These generous organizations are not done helping our community this summer and have scheduled two more events one this week in July, and the other in August.

Renee Marie Hazard

On July 4, 2021, Renee Marie Hazard joined our loved ones in heaven. She died at Holy Family Hospital where she received wonderful care. Renee was born July 28, 1966, to George and Darlene Hazard. Renee’s ancestors were homesteaders.

The Clayton Pro West Rodeo will again take place during the same weekend as Deer Park Settlers Day. After being forced to cancel due to COVID restrictions in 2020, the event is coming back on July 23rd and 24th, 2021.

City Council Summary July 7th, 2021

Deer Park’s first in-person city council meeting since the COVID-19 shutdowns commenced on June 7th. Spokane County Sheriff was appointed as the chief law enforcement of Deer Park by a unanimous vote.
