The Riverside took on Lakeside in boys basketball in the District 7 1A semifinals this last Thursday, February 8th, at West Valley High School as part of the Winter 2023-24 season.
The Deer Park Lady Stags celebrated their second straight league championship with a performance against Lakeside. Meanwhile, the Deer Park Stags faced a challenging matchup against Lakeside on the men’s side.
For the first time in school history, the Deer Park High School(DPHS) Cheer Team, coached by Kimberly Perry and Kieran Brown, will head to the State Cheerleading competition held February 2nd-3rd, 2024, at Battleground High School.
Friday night’s basketball showdown between Deer Park and Riverside featured both boys’ and girls’ games. Riverside secured a victory in the boys’ match, while Deer Park emerged victorious in the girls’ game.
Deer Park football homecoming 2023 saw the Stags score early, quickly, and often against Medical Lake. Late arriving fans may have missed the opening possession and score. The Stags took the opening kickoff and were on the scoreboard only 1:24 later.
In a showdown Deer Park High School emerged victorious against Riverside High School for a 3-1 win. Riverside initially took the lead with the first set, but Deer Park roared back, winning the following three sets to secure the triumph.
In a defensive battle, Riverside High School’s girls’ soccer team avenged their earlier season loss to Deer Park. The game unfolded last week and featured intense competition and unwavering determination from both sides. Ultimately, it was a lone goal in the first half that proved decisive, with Hayley Kasinger finding the net, assisted by Layla Baker.
In an electrifying football showdown that left fans on the edge of their seats, Riverside clashed with Medical Lake in a game that will be remembered for its remarkable scoring plays. As the final whistle blew, the Rams emerged victorious with a commanding lead of 40-8 over Medical Lake.
As the calendar turns to October, the Lady Stags volleyball squad is riding a hot streak with six wins in seven matches.
