In a defensive battle, Riverside High School’s girls’ soccer team avenged their earlier season loss to Deer Park. The game unfolded last week and featured intense competition and unwavering determination from both sides. Ultimately, it was a lone goal in the first half that proved decisive, with Hayley Kasinger finding the net, assisted by Layla Baker.
Riverside’s offensive effort was evidenced by their 19 shots on goal. Their defensive line was equally formidable, with ten crucial saves to thwart Deer Park’s attempts to level the score.
Deer Park, too, put up a valiant fight, tallying 16 shots on goal. Their goalkeeper made four crucial saves to keep the game within reach.
