2023 has been a very busy year for our Chamber. We’ve had a record number of ribbon cuttings, spectacular community events, and have made updates to our bylaws to help our Chamber thrive for the years to come. One of our main goals was to start bringing different organizations together and that’s a goal I believe we accomplished as evident in our final luncheon of the year.

As prizes and entries are still coming in, the decision was made to extend the deadline for entries into the Deer Park Gazette Christmas Coloring Contest. Entries should be mailed by Wednesday the 20th. More prizes will be announced next week.

Robert Edward Click, age 86, of Rice Lake, WI, formerly of River Falls, WI passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 in Rice Lake. Born March 22, 1937 in Wenatchee, Washington to Glen and Florence (Kreyssler) Click, Bob grew up in Deer Park, Washington, attending Deer Park High School and graduating in the class of 1955.

Deer Park City Council has enacted a law addressing homelessness and public space usage. Influenced by legal considerations at the federal level, the ordinance introduces clear definitions, identifies restricted areas, and establishes procedures for homeless camp removal.
