WinterFest 2024 Just Weeks Away

The winning logo designed by Cory Jacobs for WinterFest 2024.

Deer Park’s WinterFest is just around the corner! With under a month to go, the unveiling of the official logo and the announcement of who the honored citizens are sets the stage for this event. Sign-ups are open now.

Deer Park’s 39th annual WinterFest, organized by the Deer Park Kiwanis and the WinterFest Committee, promises a day filled with festive activities for all ages. Cory Jacobs emerges as the victorious designer of the event’s logo. This year’s Honored Citizens are the longstanding residents and exceptional volunteers Jay and Amy Lindh. Also, get into the festive spirit with event Sweatshirts, now available for $25 at Deer Park Yokes.

The heart of the festivities will be at Deer Park High School, located at 800 S. Weber Road, where a lively atmosphere will take shape on January 13th, 2024. The festivities kick off with the invigorating 1-mile Fun Run at 8:30am, setting the pace for a day filled with winter-themed fun. The Opening Ceremony at 10am marks the official commencement of WinterFest.

Throughout the day, attendees can engage in a myriad of activities, including children’s activities, the ever-popular outhouse races, and a Lego building contest. Most of the activities, including the craft and vendor and the art show and sale, will be between 9am and 4pm.

Other features include the Kiwanis Children’s Book Giveaway, a cake walk, a chess tournament, and the Friends of the Library Book Sale. Attendees can enjoy live musical entertainment featuring the DPHS Jazz Band & Choir, DPHS Colorguard, Soul Studio Dance, Cloverleaf Academy, and more.

As the day progresses, families can partake in Bingo and conclude the festivities with a family-friendly dance at the VFW, located at 29 East 1st Street.  WinterFest 2024 invites the community to come together, celebrate the season, and make lasting memories in the spirited town of Deer Park.
