Emma and Stony are very bossy; however, they aren’t mean. They love cuddles and attention. Emma is a very needy dog and loves being the center of attention. She will calm down and be nice in the house, but both dogs need a good space to run and play so a big yard is advised.
The last few months have taken a toll on our community. As a result of the pandemic, states were shut down and many businesses had to close. Now that the holidays are drawing near, it is more important than ever to support these local businesses.

Shore Acres Resort on Loon Lake will be hosting the first annual Ladies Clothing Exchange. There is no limit to how many clothes you can bring, including tops, pants, skirts, dresses, accessories, jewelry, and maternity clothes. There are no size limits either.
Mary Walker School District recently shared that they were awarded grants to improve their schools facilities. This summer the construction will start for new playground equipment, including a covered playing area, a basketball area, and equipment to assist kids with restricted or limited mobility.
Emergency responders in Stevens County responded to a serious crash, March 5th, on Highway 292. According to the Stevens County Fire District No.1 Facebook page, “A suspected medical event caused the driver to crash directly into a guardrail at highway speed. Approximately 6-8 feet of the guardrail ended up in the passenger compartment, trapping the lone victim”.
The Colville School District announced on March 2nd, that the schools will be closed until a student under investigation for COVID-19 (the Coronavirus) is confirmed with either positive or negative test results. These test results could take up to 3 days, during which time the school district will be disinfecting the buildings.
Deer Park’s third annual pet parade was held on Saturday, June 22nd. The theme of this year’s parade was Super Heroes.
