Starting this Friday, Deer Park’s Settlers Day weekend features many old and new events to keep you hopping around town. People can see a lively parade, rodeo, fire station demonstrations, youth baseball tournaments, and a farm swap. Food vendors, live music, and family-friendly activities throughout the town. Additionally, there’s an opportunity to give back at a Special Olympics fundraiser, complete with water fights involving local fire and law enforcement personnel.
Deer Park Settlers Day, established in 1921, celebrates the town’s history with a parade, vendors, food, and live music each July. Official event shirts are available at Yoke’s at 810 S Main St and Deer Park Pack & Ship at 104 E Crawford.
Multiple Day Events
Settlers Day and Chris Gradoville Memorial Wood Bat Tournaments
Two invitational youth baseball tournaments will return to Deer Park during Settlers Day weekend, July 25–27. With games starting as early as 8am each of the three days. The 9th Settlers Day Wood Bat Tournament will host 10U and 12U teams under Little League rules at Deer Park City Fields, while the 4th Chris Gradoville 14U Wood Bat Tournament will be held at Dave Franklin Field at Deer Park High School using NFHS rules. All divisions will play with wood bats with a three-game minimum for each team.
Both events will feature PA announcements, music, concessions, a home run derby, a dunk tank, and free on-site dry camping. The 14U tournament honors the legacy of Chris Gradoville, a coach known for his commitment to player development on and off the field. Proceeds benefit Deer Park Baseball Boosters.

Clayton Rodeo
Gates will open at 5:30 pm, and the rodeo will begin at 7:30 pm on both Friday and Saturday nights. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis; we encourage attendees to arrive early to secure their preferred spots.
The Clayton Rodeo takes place at the Clayton Fairgrounds, 4616 Wallbridge Road, Clayton.
Ticket Prices:
- Children 6 to 12 years old: $5.00
- Ages 13 and up: $20.00
- Children under 6: Free (when accompanied by an adult)
On Friday night, military personnel and seniors can purchase discounted tickets for $17. It’s also “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night, so be sure to wear your pink gear and show your support. Since Friday is slack night, expect a late night filled with exciting rodeo action. Free parking is available for all attendees. Please note that coolers and open containers are not permitted on the grounds, but adults are welcome to enjoy the expanded beer garden. Food vendors will be on site, offering plenty of options for dinner alongside the entertainment.
Deer Park Eagles Settler’s Weekend Festivities
The Deer Park Eagles, located at 12 W South Avenue, will host two nights of events during Settler’s Weekend on July 25th and 26th. The event is open to the public, and children are welcome until 8:00 pm. On Friday, guests can enjoy a steak or chicken dinner from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, followed by live music from Rick Hofstrand from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.
Saturday night features the Heather King Band, performing from 8:00 to 11:00 pm for a $10 cover charge, which includes one drink ticket.

Friday, July 25th
Cop & Fire on Top
From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Cop & Fire on Top event will take place at Yoke’s Fresh Market at 810 S. Main St. in Deer Park. This interactive fundraiser invites the community to participate in water fights alongside local fire and law enforcement personnel while supporting the Special Olympics.
Donations help provide free year-round sports programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities across Washington State. These programs build confidence, foster friendships, and develop life-changing skills, all offered at no cost to athletes or their families. However, the impact extends beyond sports, as support also funds free health screenings, education, and wellness resources, empowering athletes to thrive both on and off the field.
Scheduled participants include the Spokane County Forensics Team from 10am to 12pm, followed by the Spokane County Fire Department District 4 from 12pm to 2pm. Their involvement brings both fun and visibility to this important cause.

Saturday, July 27th
Deer Park Farm Swap
The Farm Swap is scheduled from 8 am to 2 pm. The event will be held near Bob Mart, located at 1501 E. Crawford St in Deer Park, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to browse local goods.
Fire Station #41
Station #41 will host an Open House from 9 am to 12 pm, featuring a live fire demonstration at 9 am, an auto extrication rescue at 9:30 am, and a K9 accelerant detection demo at 11 am. The event includes refreshments and family-friendly activities, such as face painting, hands-only CPR demonstrations, a virtual reality obstacle course, and the Avista safety trailer. Visitors can also meet firefighters, explore emergency vehicles, and participate in a coloring contest.
Parade
At 10 am, the Settlers Parade will start from various locations along East Crawford, proceed to Main Avenue, continue to Fourth Street, and finally end at Mix Park. The parade features elaborately decorated floats and marching bands and is always a weekend highlight.
At the forefront of this year’s parade are Grand Marshals Leslie Stansbury and Danielle Prosser, known for their dedication to organizing Deer Park’s annual Pumpkin Lane event each fall. Honored Settlers Rick and Sherry Tedrow, whose families have deep roots in the area, will also be recognized. Fred’s Automotive received the Community Service Traveling Trophy in appreciation of their exceptional customer care and local involvement.
Mix Park Events
Car lovers can enjoy an impressive showcase of both vintage and modern vehicles during the Car Show, running from 8 am to 3 pm.
Following the parade, Mix Park will come alive from 11:30 am to 1 pm with a variety of food vendors, craft, and commercial booths. The day’s festivities will also include class and family reunions, local events, the Reiter Games, a Safety Fair, and live music.
Wyatt Miller and Anthoney Williams will perform music for the day. Wyatt, a 15-year-old self-taught guitarist from Deer Park, attends Home Link and enjoys outdoor adventures and spending time with friends. Anthoney, a Deer Park resident since 2001, uses his music to support local businesses and charities, believing community is what truly brings people together.
The official Settlers Days Program will begin at 1 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, and the announcement of parade awards. Visitors will also have the chance to meet the new Miss Deer Park and her Court: Miss Deer Park Abby Castle, Princess Elizabeth Hamilton, and Princess Hailey Billesbach. All Mix Park events will conclude by 3 pm.
Sunday, July 28th
Local churches from the Deer Park area will unite for a shared worship service on Sunday, July 28, at 10:00 a.m. in Mix Park. The morning will feature a worship team composed of musicians from multiple congregations, along with a message from a special guest speaker. Following the service, attendees are invited to stay for a community potluck. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and a dish to share with others. Beverages will be provided. Everyone is welcome to attend.
