H Street Closed For Connection Correction

Road closure in progress at the intersection of H Street and Colville.

Deer Park residents should be aware of temporary traffic changes as East H Street is closed to all traffic between South Colville Road and South Main Street starting today. This closure is a continuation of earlier work by land developers to connect utilities.

Deer Park residents should be prepared for the temporary inconvenience as East H Street is closed to all traffic between South Colville Road and South Main Street. The closure started today, Monday, August 19th, 2024, and will continue through Friday, August 23rd, 2024.

This closure is part of a follow-up project stemming from earlier utilities placed under the road earlier this year. After a city inspection, it was determined that additional improvements were needed to meet safety and quality standards.

If the construction proceeds as planned, the work should be completed in plenty of time for the start of the Deer Park School District’s new school year on August 28th.

Detours will be marked during the closure and drivers will need to use alternative routes. Pedestrians should exercise caution and follow the posted signs to navigate the construction zone safely.
