Free Food Mobile Markets For Families This Summer

Faith Lutheran Church and Second Harvest are collaborating to support local families in need. Understanding the persistent difficulties many face in securing sufficient food, these organizations have scheduled two Mobile Market events this summer in Deer Park.

Two community events are set to take place in Deer Park at Faith Lutheran Church, located at 214 S. Weber Rd. During each event, the Mobile Market will distribute approximately 8,000 pounds of free food to up to 250 households through a drive-thru distribution model.

The first upcoming Mobile Market event is scheduled for July 2nd and will be held from 10am to noon or until supplies run out. These events are open to the public and require no documentation. Free food items include an assortment of nonperishable and fresh items. The last event will be on August 7th, also between 10am to noon.

The 2nd Harvest Mobile Market delivers free, nutritious food directly to high-need communities in the Inland Northwest. To help cover non-food costs, a sponsorship donation of $2,000 per event is requested. To sponsor an event, complete the application form at Airtable.com/appIjK4btxkTOSlSa/shrlxjXGUMhBtENsb.
