Deer Park Free Food Mobile Market Events

Following a fruitful collaboration in June, Faith Lutheran Church and 2nd Harvest are coming together again to serve families in need within the local community. Recognizing the ongoing challenge faced by many to access adequate food, these organizations have arranged two additional Mobile Market events for the summer months.

Faith Lutheran Church has been actively sponsoring these events for several years, significantly impacting the lives of many individuals and families. The church’s sponsorship goes beyond financial support for the 2nd Harvest Mobile Market’s expenses. They not only play a crucial role in organizing volunteers they also provide a convenient location for distribution by utilizing their parking lot at 214 S. Weber Rd, Deer Park, WA.

Each event has the ability to help up to 250 families. The upcoming Mobile Market event is scheduled for July 19th, a Wednesday, and will be held from 10am to noon or until supplies run out. These events are open to the public and require no documentation. People can get free produce, meat, shelf-stable foods, and other nutritious products. Organizers have set up a convenient drive-thru delivery system to streamline the process for all attendees. The last event will be on August 23rd, also between 10am to noon.

2nd Harvest is always looking for groups to partner with to bring their services to local communities. If you are interested in hosting a food or fund drive, you can learn more by visiting 2-harvest.org/host-a-fundraiser/.
