Deer Park School District invites community members to provide anonymous feedback on the recent bond renewal that failed last February.
Deer Park School District is reaching out to the community for feedback following the recent February vote to renew the Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy and Bond Measure. Superintendent Dr. Alexa Allman thanks the community for supporting the EP&O Levy renewal on behalf of the Deer Park School District. However, recognizing the importance of community feedback, the District wants to gather insights on the bond that did not pass.
The bond would have provided funds for activities such as designing, constructing, and renovating school facilities and infrastructure and technology improvements. After seeing the demographers, geographers, and public analysts, the school anticipates significant growth in Deer Park schools. The funds from the bond were critical to accommodate this growth safely.
Residents can share their thoughts and suggestions regarding the recent bond election and future initiatives through anonymous surveys.
The five-question survey is designed to gather diverse perspectives from various stakeholders within the Deer Park community. Participants are asked to indicate their role within the community, share their vote on the recent bond election, and provide insights into the factors influencing their decision.
Furthermore, the survey seeks input on the community’s options for prioritization of capital projects, options that include:
- Pre-school (move out of the portables)
- New elementary school (eliminate portables, add classrooms, offices, commons area, library, and gym space)
- New transportation center (replace the 100-year-old transportation building)
- Middle School (renovate and improve the remaining “old” DPMS)
- Home Link (customization, renovation, modernization, & space)
- Athletics and sports complex at the High School (increase track to 8 lanes, reconstruct football field, add soccer field, etc.)
- HVAC across schools
The survey assures participants that their identities will remain confidential. With online access to the survey that requires less than 10 minutes to complete, residents can conveniently share their perspectives on crucial matters affecting the community.

Additionally, participants can edit their responses while the survey remains active, allowing for ongoing engagement and refinement of community input.
