Third Annual Hometown Holiday Celebration

Deer Park is abuzz with festive expectations as the Greater Deer Park Chamber of Commerce gears up for the third annual Hometown Holiday Celebration. The event promises an evening filled with holiday merriment, featuring vendors, live music, a Christmas Lights Parade, and the tree lighting ceremony at City Hall.

The event will be on Saturday, December 2nd. It starts with an opportunity to capture the season’s spirit with a photo alongside the Grinch for free between 3pm and 5pm. As the sun sets, Deer Park will come alive with the Christmas Lights Parade.

From 5pm to 5:45pm, the streets will be adorned with creatively lit and decorated entries on wheels for the Christmas Lights Parade. Anyone with a festive flair can participate by registering their “float” for a nominal $10 fee. The community plays a crucial role in determining the winner, as the crowd votes for their favorite entry, with the victorious participant claiming 100% of the entry fees. The parade route will wind its way from the Deer Park Baptist Church Parking Lot to North Stevens Road, creating a vibrant spectacle for all to enjoy.

Following the parade, the festive focus shifts to City Hall, where the Lighting of the Christmas Tree will take place at 6pm. There will be vendors and live music at the event, including but not limited to the Deer Park Music Boosters, who will serve food, warm drinks, and swag at the Deer Park Tree Lighting. The Hart Chorale Choir will also be caroling at this event.

For those eager to be part of the parade, registration is open through the online form available at DPGazette.com/hometown23.

Questions about the event can be directed to the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce at (509) 276-5900 or via email at [email protected].
