Delayed – Loon Lake Roundabout

Paving remains on schedule for the 12 miles on Highway 395 in Stevens County between Loon Lake and Hafer Road for completion in October, the start date for roundabout construction will be delayed. An anticipated start date for the State Route 292 and Garden Spot Road detours will be Monday, September 19th. Roundabout construction and detours will still last about two weeks once construction begins.

What to expect during construction

Overnight single-lane closures on Highway 395 from 7pm to 6am, Monday through Friday. Travelers should expect delays up to 20 minutes during the paving portion of the project. Drivers will be guided through the work zone via pilot car. Access to the intersection at State Route 292 and Highway 395 will be restricted for 15 days while crews work to construct a roundabout near Loon Lake. Drivers will be redirected through the work zone during the four stages of the project.

Before heading out the door, travelers can find highway conditions on the WSDOT Travel Alerts page, mobile app and on the Regional Twitter account.
