Deer Park Rotary Student of the Month Banquet

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID 19 restrictions, members of the Deer Park Rotary Club were once again able to host this annual event at St. Mary Presentation Catholic Church in Deer Park. Twenty-four students from Deer Park, Riverside, and Mary Walker High Schools and their family members were invited to an afternoon of fun, food, and fellowship. The students were recognized with certificates and gifts. Meeting students from our three local high schools each month and the Student of the Month Banquet, which began in 2009, have become favorite events for the club. The Deer Park Rotary Club congratulates these young people and wishes them much success as they start a new chapter in their lives.

They also want to thank everyone who has contributed to their fundraising events. Whether that was through purchasing one of their Hanging Wave Petunia Baskets, sponsoring their Golf Tournament, or adding their name to the Holiday Sign displayed at the Deer Park Rotary Pocket Park on Main Street. Through these events, the Rotary Club can fund $6,000 in Academic/Leadership and Vocational Scholarships each year, the Student of the Month Program, donations to three local food banks, and community projects like the playground equipment in Mix Park. But, of course, they couldn’t do it without community support.
