Rotary Students of the Month November 2021

The high school students pictured from left to right are Livvy Moore of Deer Park, Brady Supanchick of Riverside, and  Justin Price of Mary Walker.

The Deer Park Rotary Club members picked three students for November’s Student of the Month.

Mary Walker’s Justin Price was introduced by the school counselor, Emily Spencer.  Justin began by thanking the club for selecting him as Student of the Month and telling us he has always loved school!  He is an only child and said he has always tried harder than most of his friends and peers.  He feels that after COVID, the world turned upside down for him, but he managed to make the best of it.  He is involved in Summit Learning and now has two new teachers and a new counselor.  He is also a Running Start student, where he has learned more communication skills. His coursework includes Jazz History, Political Science, Stress Management, and Intercultural Communications.  He is in the National Honor Society, Upward Bound and volunteers at the local food bank.  He loves sports, especially basketball and wrestling. Justin is looking at Montana State University, and his interests include Business Administration and Criminal Justice. PDG Bob Carroll pointed out that Justin was a Mary Walker Middle School Interact Club charter member.

Riverside High School Principal Clint Hull introduced Student of the Month Brady Supanchick.  Brady thanked Rotary for selecting him and his parents for their support and credited them for his work ethic in sports and academics.  He is the current Associated Student Body Executive Vice President and a member of the National Honor Society.  He loves Riverside High School and thanks to his teachers for their hard work and dedication.  Brady is a member of Riverside’s Cross-Country Team and runs 45 miles a week.  His ambition is to go into the Army Reserves and focus on Horizontal Engineering at Arizona State University.

Livvy (Olivia) Moore, Deer Park High School Student of the Month, was introduced by Principal Joe Feist.  She began by saying that she has always struggled with Math, and yet, she loves Woodshop, which requires its share of math.  She said, “Never limit yourself on your skills.”  Livvy carries a 3.97 grade point average and attributes much of her success to Soccer.  She is a member of the Deer Park Girls Soccer Team, which now enters district play with a record of 11-3.  Livvy plays mid-field and would like to play soccer for the University of Oregon.  She loves the coaches and the environment at the University.
