Commissioners Increase As Maps Are Redrawn

Currently Spokane County has 3 commissioners. Because of the growth in the area and changes in state laws the county will be divided into 5 districts with 1 commissioner each.

During this last spring a bipartisan committee was appointed in order to complete the county commissioner redistricting project.  This summer they launched a website RedistrictSpokaneCo.com and held public meetings. The new districts will be adopted on October 23rd of this year.

The way the districts are created will have an impact on future elections in the Deer Park area. Your participation is very important to this process.
