Welcome Main Street Market Upscale Resale

A new store is open in Deer Park at 31 North Main Street! Main Street Market opened its doors the beginning of May and held their grand opening on June 21st and 22nd. They had a silent auction with over 40 gift baskets and gift certificates from local businesses in the Deer Park area.

Main Street Market is an “upscale resale” thrift store selling books, kid’s items, housewares, clothing, furniture, collectibles, and antiques. Christina Battles, Main Street Market’s manager, said she “enjoys the all new spacious interior.” Battles, with 10 years of thrift store retail experience, has been busy organizing the store while creating great deals for the community.

Main Street Market was renovated to create a clean, bright, and inviting atmosphere that provides an easily accessible shopping experience. When asked about her favorite part of working at Main Street Market, Battles replied: “I love working at a great store that helps people find affordable items while giving kids in our community a place to learn and try new things.”

Main Street Market supports the Renner Education and Art Development (READ) Center, a nonprofit offering GED preparation, kid’s programs, and art as therapy, “giving people a hand up” through education. Upcoming events at the READ center include Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics, (STEAM) summer day camps for kids grades 1-9. For more information, visit them on Facebook at facebook.com/READCenterDeerPark, or call 509-220-3992.

Come check them out for yourself! Tuesday is senior day with a 20% discount for seniors 55 and older. You can also find Main Street Market on Facebook for daily deals. Main Street Market, a nonprofit organization, is accepting donations of gently used items. Each time you donate, you will receive a coupon for 20% off one item.
