New Owners At Precious Metals

Jim & Jason McCray are the two hard-working brothers who have purchased Precious Metals Autobody, now renamed Precious Metals Collision Center. They will be hosting a public Grand Re-Opening celebration on July 13th from 11am-1pm.

Jim’s father passed away when he was sixteen years old, and that summer Jim asked his brother-in-law for a job to keep himself busy. That part-time job turned into a career, as Jim realized his talent and love for working with cars and helping them look their best.

Jason’s background is in fine arts. He’s a painter, and as he came out of college Jim pulled him into the car world as a car washer; then Jason became Jim’s prepper, and soon their careers diverged as each brother became a full-time painter at different shops.

Now the McCrays have purchased a shop together and are enjoying the challenge of being their own bosses. Jason handles the technology and books while Jim stays focused on writing estimates and talking with customers. They’ve already remodeled the office, and have plans to rework and update the signage around the building as well. Jim said that for years he thought he could do better, and now that he’s the boss it’s his opportunity to “prove it or shut up”.

Both men plan to move their households to Deer Park as soon as possible. They’ll be coming from Otis Orchards and North Spokane, respectively, but want to get the business settled before beginning another big transition in their personal lives. For now they’ll commute and put miles on their cars to take care of ours.

You can like their Facebook Page or RSVP for the Grand Re-Opening.
