Deer Park Dollars for Scholars presented 14 students with scholarships this year in an amount totaling $15,195.
The awards were handed out at the Senior Awards program at the Deer Park High School on June 9th. Each year, Deer Park Dollars for Scholars (DPDS) raises funds with the help of community donations to support local students to succeed in their post secondary education.
Perhaps inspired by their title character, Rosie the Riveter, Deer Park’s home link drama team overcame some big challenges and found a way to make their production come to life. In the face of changes, and the choice to either cancel yet another event or adapt, they adapted and broke the mold.
The Thrilling Tale Of The Three Musketeers is a raving retake of the classic story. First, the audience was invited to get lost in the castle, and from there taken on a journey of sarcasm and slapstick, climaxing in utter chaos.
