Faith Lutheran Church and Second Harvest are collaborating to support local families in need. Understanding the persistent difficulties many face in securing sufficient food, these organizations have scheduled two Mobile Market events this summer in Deer Park.
Following a fruitful collaboration in June, Faith Lutheran Church and 2nd Harvest are coming together again to serve families in need within the local community. Recognizing the ongoing challenge faced by many to access adequate food, these organizations have arranged two additional Mobile Market events for the summer months.
This week marks the last summer food distribution provided by 2nd Harvest in partnership with Faith Lutheran Church. Each distribution has been in high demand, with many local families benefiting.
Faith Lutheran Church partnered with 2nd Harvest to serve families in Deer Park in June, and these organizations are not done helping our community this summer. They have scheduled two more events, one in July and the other in August.
During the first event in June 2021, Faith Lutheran Church in partnership with 2nd Harvest was able to serve 320 families with 17,000 pounds of food. 2nd Harvest Mobile Market has partnered up with Faith Lutheran Church to provide free groceries to anyone in need of food assistance during the months of June, July, and August.
2nd Harvest and Faith Lutheran Church will be holding a Free Food Distribution with a drive through pick up for up to 250 families. The
2nd Harvest Mobile Market was in Deer Park on August 22nd. They had partnered up with Faith Lutheran Church to provide free produce and groceries
