WinterFest 2025: A Little Over A Week Away

The winning logo was designed by Jennifer Follansbee-Moss for WinterFest 2025.

Deer Park’s WinterFest 2025 is fast approaching, with just over a week to go! The reveal of the official logo and the announcement of this year’s honored citizens have set the tone for an exciting event. Don’t forget that sign-ups are now open!

Deer Park is gearing up for its 40th annual WinterFest, a merry celebration hosted by the Deer Park Kiwanis and WinterFest Committee. Jennifer Follansbee-Moss earned recognition as the designer of the official WinterFest logo. Karen and Doug Watson, community members and volunteers, have been named the 2025 Honored Citizens. WinterFest commemorative sweatshirts are now on sale at Deer Park Yokes.

The festivities will unfold on January 18th, 2025, at Deer Park High School, 800 S. Weber Road. One of the first events will be the WinterFest 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, which starts at 7:30am and ends at 4 pm. The brackets for this event will be competitive, high school, middle school (13+), and recreational men’s/women’s.

Participants can dive into a lineup of exciting events, including activities for kids, the crowd-favorite outhouse races, and a Lego building competition. From 9am to 4pm, visitors can also check out the craft and vendor fair, along with the art show and sale.

Other attractions include the Kiwanis Children’s Book Giveaway, a cake walk, a chess tournament, and the Friends of the Library Book Sale. Music lovers can enjoy live performances from talented local groups such as the Deer Park Middle and High School Jazz Bands, Sister’s Song Studios, seamless, and Wyatt Miller.

The Opening Ceremony, starting at 10 am, will take a moment to introduce the Honored Citizens and kick off the rest of the day’s tournaments and musical events.

As the sun sets, families can enjoy a lively game of Bingo and cap off the day with a family dance at the VFW Hall, located at 29 East 1st Street. WinterFest 2025 promises a day filled with joy, community spirit, and lasting memories in Deer Park.
