While you are adventuring outside it is important to remember water for both you and your pets. Even though we have left the sweltering days of summer behind, water is just as crucial during these cold winter months.

Deer Park is home to our very own dog rescue: Heaven Witha D. Rescuing stray dogs that have been abandoned or placed in shelters, founder Devon Rauenzahn has dedicated her life to making animals safe again.

These pretty flowering cacti are tropical cactus! They grow attached to trees in the jungles of Brazil, not in deserts on the ground! So keep pots small, short, and squat rather than deep to mimic their natural growing conditions.

In a New Years’ message from Deer Park School Superintendent Travis Hanson, he expressed thanks and appreciation for the hard teamwork by parents/guardians, students, and staff in maintaining COVID guidelines. He also noted Deer Park is in the 15% of WA state schools who currently have access to in-person learning.

The Clayton/Deer Park Historical Society (CDPHS) was formed in 2003 as part of an effort to save the Clayton School building which was said to be surplus property by the School Board and was being put up for sale.

A.J. Steinbeck, Deer Park High School November Student of the Month, was introduced by Principal Joe Feist as an academic and an athlete. He is Captain of the Football and Track Teams and an avid outdoorsman. A.J. said he enjoys everything outdoors!
