
WinterFest 2023 Honors the Schroeder

The WinterFest 2023 commemorative dark heather gray long-sleeved sweatshirts featuring Diana Gatiba’s logo design are available at Deer Park Yoke’s Fresh Market for $25.

An outreach that began twenty years ago by one big-hearted woman came back after two years with open arms and a goal to fill the tummies. This event blessed our community with a homemade meal where people could “taste” that they matter.

After two years of hiatus, Christ’s Church of Deer Park is bringing back their annual free community Thanksgiving meal.

Big Hunk is the Deer Park High School Key Club’s annual boy’s volleyball tournament to raise money for a variety of charitable causes. This year all proceeds are going to “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” Foundation for Childhood Cancer. Key Club would like you to come out and support your high school junior and senior guys’ volleyball as they battle it out for cancer.

Deer Park Kiwanis is offering a cash prize for logo design. The artist will also be part of Deer Park history for the 38th annual WinterFest celebration.

Do you know someone who has made a noteworthy contribution to our community? The WinterFest committee is asking you to nominate that Deer Park citizen to be honored in the WinterFest 2023 celebration. However, time is of the essence.

Don’t freeze up when it comes to getting involved in the planning of WinterFest! Now is the time to jump in and be part of this long-running and much-loved Deer Park event.

The Deer Park Library has officially reopened and returned to regular operating hours. The building had been closed since August 2nd due to an air conditioning equipment failure.

The Clayton Community Fair is coming this weekend (August 26th, 27th, and 28th). Whether you are looking for great exhibits, vendors, food, or a variety of animals to view, this event has a packed schedule worth checking out.
