WinterFest Logo Contest 2023

Deer Park Kiwanis is offering a cash prize for logo design. The artist will also be part of Deer Park history for the 38th annual WinterFest celebration.   

 The contest is open to all community members. The winning logo will be on WinterFest sweatshirts, advertising, and publications. In addition, the designer of the winning logo will receive a prize of $50 and a free WinterFest 2023 shirt during the opening ceremonies. 

Design Requirements:

  • No larger than 8” x 10” in size
  • Include the tile and date: Deer Park Kiwanis WinterFest, January 14, 2023.
  • Optional: A picture or image of a deer

    • Bring your entry to the Deer Park Pizza Factory just before the Kiwanis meeting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9th.

  • Write your name and contact information on the back of your entry. 
  • If submitting by email, ensure your contact information is in your email.

 

The Kiwanis WinterFest Committee meets on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the Deer Park Pizza Factory to choose the final winning logo and the color of the 2023 WinterFest shirt.

US-395 Reopened Following Motorcycle & Pickup Collision

Traffic is moving again on US-395, but the investigation into today’s serious motorcycle crash is far from over.

As of 5pm today, all lanes of US-395 have been reopened to traffic. Earlier today, a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a white pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 395 and H Street, which is near Henery Hardware, forced a complete closure of the highway, resulting in significant gridlock through the heart of Deer Park.
