As prizes and entries are still coming in, the decision was made to extend the deadline for entries into the Deer Park Gazette Christmas Coloring Contest. Entries should be mailed by Wednesday the 20th. More prizes will be announced next week.
Deer Park is abuzz with festive expectations as the Greater Deer Park Chamber of Commerce gears up for the third annual Hometown Holiday Celebration. The event promises an evening filled with holiday merriment, featuring vendors, live music, a Christmas Lights Parade, and the tree lighting ceremony at City Hall.

Deer Park’s Sonja Barrera wins Innovia Foundation’s 2023 photo contest in the “Nonprofit Mission in Action” category. She also received an honorable mention for a photo entitled “Joy.”
Deer Park student Johnathan Brooks secured second place in the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Washington’s Fifth Congressional District. His watercolor painting, “A Feast,” will be proudly displayed in Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ Spokane office.
“Framed” had everything: art heists, eccentric old ladies, and a missing uncle, all brought to life by a talented cast. The play was such a hit that you might need a detective to find a DVD copy!
