Letter To Editor: Caleb Stapp

Dear Editor,

City Hall is falling down.

After bringing this topic to the council’s attention on multiple occasions I shared the thoughts below with them at tonight’s meeting on April 21st. I also wanted to share these thoughts with the wider community as I add my voice to the ongoing discussion happening throughout our town.

A few caveats: I don’t have this all figured out, I don’t have a specific option that I prefer for how to remedy the situation, and I believe we should make this decision slowly. Kindness Matters

Mr. Rogers said, “There are three ways to ultimate success. The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.”

Crawford – A Name, A Road, A Roundabout

When the name Crawford is used in Deer Park, it is understood to be Crawford Street, the primary east-west road in the city. Long before Crawford became known as a street, a man named George E. Crawford was known over a century ago as a local lumber entrepreneur. His family helped build the town’s foundations and the oldest, still operating, church in Deer Park. Soon, a roundabout will also carry this name on.
