A vehicle crash at the intersection of North US Highway 395 and West Monroe Road drew a significant multi-agency emergency response on Tuesday morning. The incident completely blocked both northbound lanes of the highway, forcing motorists to a standstill. Responding emergency personnel immediately worked to clear the damaged vehicles, and evaluate individuals for injuries. A witness arriving shortly after the accident observed clear weather conditions at the scene, indicating that weather did not factor into the collision.
Regional emergency dispatch logs from PulsePoint indicate that the incident was initially reported at 10:49 AM Tuesday June 16th. Spokane County Fire District 4 mobilized a total of nine units to manage the accident scene. At least two American Medical Response ambulances staged at the intersection to provide medical care, and transport unit FD441 was utilized to move patients from the location.

The Washington State Department of Transportation initially reported a left-lane blockage before both northbound lanes were fully obstructed near Hamann Corner. A subsequent update from WSDOT East has confirmed that the collision scene was finalized and all lanes were reopened. The Washington State Patrol is the investigating agency for the crash, though an official collision report detailing the specific cause and total injuries has not yet been released.
