The cost of the 5k is $10. You can make checks payable to CDPHS and mail them to PO Box 293 Clayton, WA 99110, or bring cash or check the morning of the race. Contact Elizabeth Gillam at 509-688-9650 for more details about the 5k.

Clayton Grange Breakfast and Lunch

The Clayton Grange will host a Benefit Breakfast from 8am to 10am, with proceeds supporting the organization’s community initiatives. Following the parade, attendees are invited to return for a BBQ Lunch at the Grange from 11am to 1pm.

Voice of Brickyard Days

Andy Carlson was named the voice of Brickyard Days as he is a familiar voice at the Clayton Brickyard Days Parade and has entertained the Clayton crowds for over 25 years. Known for his humor and engaging announcements, Carlson’s contributions have made the event a community favorite.

Carlson was born in Kalispell, Montana, and moved to Eastern Washington in his youth. He attended Eastern Washington University, earning a degree in Social Science, majoring in History and minoring in Sociology. After college, he founded Legacy Construction Services and settled in Clayton with his wife, Terri, and their five children.

Carlson quickly became active in the Clayton community, volunteering at Clayton Community Church and participating in local events like the Clayton Burger Run. His involvement in the Brickyard Days Parade began when he was asked to MC the event over two decades ago. His lively commentary and crowd interactions have since become a parade staple.

Carlson’s roles as a painter, realtor, and community volunteer, along with his dedication to the Brickyard Days Parade, highlight his commitment to fostering community spirit in Clayton.

Participants must be in place along Railroad Rd for the parade by 9am, and judging will be completed by 10am. The parade begins at 10:30 am on Mason Road and ends at the Clayton Grange. Participants include autos, floats, marching, youth, commercial, and equestrians.

You can grab a registration form for the parade via flyers at Yoke’s Fresh Market in Deer Park and return the completed form to Clayton Brickyard Day Celebration, C/O, Loretta Huss & Jody Lentz at P.O. Box 293, Clayton, WA 99110 or [email protected]. Interested parties can also contact Candie at 509-951-8619.

T-Shirt Sales

Deer Park High School student Eden Gilstrap has been acknowledged for designing this year’s event t-shirt. The shirts are available for purchase at Deer Park Yoke’s, Pickett Fence, Real Estate Market Place, and during Settlers Day Saturday and Brickyard Day.

Other Festivities

Clayton Grange will feature a Silent Dessert Auction from 11am to 1pm. Participants can enjoy a selection of delightful treats, all generously donated by community members. This event offers an excellent chance to indulge in delicious desserts while supporting the community.

Another one of the highlights will be the live music performance by Time Traveler from 11am to 2pm. Attendees can enjoy an eclectic set of tunes while savoring their BBQ lunch and exploring vendor offerings in the area west of the Grange.

Throughout the day, you can visit the Historical Display at Clayton Grange to learn about the town’s rich history and heritage. Children can enjoy a bouncy house, water slide, and various games to keep them entertained. Free ice cream vouchers and helium balloons will be provided courtesy of Oxarc and Lazy “L” Ranch.
