Miss Deer Park 2024: Meet The Contestants

Meet the inspiring contestants and their dreams at the Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association event happening later this week. This year’s theme is “I’ll Be There For You.”

The Miss Deer Park Scholarship Association event, an embodiment of ambition and community spirit, is scheduled for March 16th, 2024. At 6pm, the Ken Fisher Auditorium inside the Deer Park High School 800 S Weber Rd. Will be filled with aspiring youth sharing and pursuing their dreams amid the steadfast support of their community. Tickets for this uplifting occasion are priced at $15 each, available through contacting a current representative or contestant. 

A total of $15,660 in scholarships will be awarded the night of the event. From aspiring theater performers to future neurosurgeons, each contestant represents a unique journey and a fervent desire to make a difference in the world.

Competing for the titles of Miss Deer Park and her two Princess are:

Autumn Clelland, daughter of Jared and Shelly Clelland, dreams of a future in the theater arts. With aspirations to attend Whitworth or North Idaho University.

Alyson Coe, envisions a future as a musician, and is the daughter of Brad and Kari Coe. She plans to attend Full Sail University. 

Alyzabeth Tomala, daughter of Corrie Jackson, Chris and Tanya Tomala, has set her sights on becoming a neurosurgeon. With the plans to attend the University of Washington. 

Olivia Evans, daughter of Omaira Rivera, harbors dreams of becoming a welder before transitioning into speech therapy. She plans to attend Eastern Washington University.

Piper Luginbill, aspires to become a grade school teacher. She is the daughter of Elizabeth Sanchez and has not decided where she would like to go to college at this point.

Nevaeh Lee, is the daughter of Thomas and Kara Lee. She dreams of becoming a teacher, and plans to attend Whitworth University. 

The judging process, designed to assess qualities like scholastic achievement, character, creativity, and community involvement, ensures a comprehensive evaluation. Each contestant undergoes scrutiny from a panel of judges, with scores adjusted according to specific criteria such as academic performance, communication skills, physical fitness, and participation. By adhering to these rigorous standards, the association aims to select a representative who embodies excellence and reflects the values of the program.

Ronald Ray Baird was born September 9, 1946 to Thomas and Laverne (Brown) Baird in Newton, KS. He passed away January 22, 2025 at his beloved home on the Pend Oreille River, near Usk, WA. Ron grew up in a rough and tumble home, the 4th of 5 brothers, Dick, Steve, Herb, Ron, and Mike. Ron attended and graduated from Remington High School in 1965.
