Tournament Details:
The tournament follows a five-round Swiss format with a game time of G/30. Divisions are determined by directors after registration, and all students play all five games. The Northwest Rating Service rates the tournament, emphasizing fair play and competition.

The tournament day unfolds with check-in available from 8:45am to 9:30am, setting the stage for an exciting day of chess competition. The inaugural round kicks off promptly at 10:00am, ensuring that players arriving after 9:30am won’t be paired in the first round. Subsequent rounds, from two to five, commence within ten minutes of the completion of the last game of the prior round, maintaining a dynamic and timely pace. As the tournament progresses, participants can anticipate the awards ceremony immediately following the completion of the fifth game. Typically, the awards presentation wraps up before 4:00pm, concluding the day’s events on a celebratory note.
